Dear Friends,
By now you must all have heard the news; My brother, Billy Williams, the lead singer of the Oakley-based band Equivocated, passed on June 23, 2005, from an infection of the pineal gland caused by an inept surgery team and questionable sanitary conditions in what should have been a routine labotomy. Please join Equivocated in celebrating his remarkable life as well as his troubled reign as crown-prince of anti-folk ante-pop. A memorial service, showcasing both his most influential as well as his lesser known works, will be held in his honor by remaining band members and other local artists this Thursday, June 30, at the usual location. As per Billy's request, a few hand-picked selections, many recorded just days before his passing, have been and will continue to be freely distributed on selected sites in defiance of the 2003 California Court of Appeals decision barring from him from all contact with the public. Billy truly was the first of a dying breed.
Here's to Billy,
Scrimshaw Williams

Sketch for the bare bones
Billy once played this for a former child prodigy in ballet and it really gaulled her.
Grace likes pianos
In the Beefheart/Waits tradition.
